Payment, Rebates and Claims

InHand Occupational Therapy operates as a Private Practice and charges are incurred for services provided.

Workers Compensation / Motor Vehicle Insurance Trust (MVIT)
You will need a written referral from a Doctor if you are claiming through a compensable body such as Workcover, MVIT or DVA. Consultation and splint fees can be billed directly to the insurer. No cost is incurred by the patient.

Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
InHand Occupational Therapists are registered DVA providers. No cost is incurred by the patient.

Private Patients
Private patients may receive a rebate for consultations and splints from their private health fund if cover includes ancillary services for OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY. Contact your private health insurance fund for confirmation of rebates. Private patients will be required to pay your account in full on the day of treatment. The clinic is equipped with EFTPOS and credit card facilities for easy payment. Both your invoice and payment receipt can then be presented to your private health fund for rebates.

Enhanced Primary Care Program (EPC)
Under the Enhanced Primary Care Program referral can be made for patients with chronic or longstanding conditions. These patients may be eligible for 5 consultations bulk billed through Medicare. An EPC plan must be completed by the referring GP. These referrals are only appropriate in certain circumstances.
